  • 6 Classrooms
  • Cafeteria

  • Small Instructional Space

With the new Rock Island County 1% Sales Tax, Ridgewood is undergoing construction to expand the front entrance and make the entrance more secure.

Parent Involvement and Opportunities

For parents, Ridgewood offers a Booster Club, Family Reading Nights, and special school activities such as the Frolic and Field Trips. These are all excellent opportunities for parents to volunteer and get involved in their children’s education.

Conflict Resolution or PBIS (Positive Behavior In Schools)

At Ridgewood we emphasize CARE (Cooperate, Achievement, Respect and Effort). Expectations are posted throughout the school and students earn “Bear Bucks” for positive behavior. When the school reaches pre-established goals, the entire school is rewarded.

Safety, Parking, Crossing Guards

The parking lot at Ridgewood is a one-way to enhance efficiency. If parents need to leave their vehicle, school officials ask that they please use one of the parking spaces available for parents.  There are also student crossing guards to assist pedestrians across traffic.

Playground Time & Supervision

All students have recess during the lunch hour. Teachers in kindergarten through third grade are provided an afternoon break. Aides, teachers, and the principal supervise these children.
